MINISTRIES

Prayer

Piney Grove has a dedicated team of prayer warriors ready to take the requests of church members and/or the community to the throne of God.

Our Women On a Mission (WOM) group, with help from the church and community, sponsor a “Blessing Box” on site to provide non-perishable foods, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies for individuals in need.

If you have a heart to support this ministry or have a need, please reach out through the link below.

Youth Ministry

We consider it an honor and a privilege to introduce children to the exciting journey of life in Christ. Through Sunday morning and Wednesday evening classes, our annual Vacation Bible School, and special youth activities, we continually seek to point kids toward a lifelong journey with God who loves them and longs to walk alongside them as they learn and grow.

Young Adult Ministry

The Grove College and Career group strives to know Jesus, learn more about His teachings, His disciples, and to make Him known to other people.

Adult Ministry

Piney Grove has groups that encourage further Christian growth, fellowship, and ministry to the community.

Music Ministry

The church music ministry is a vibrant and essential aspect of our congregation’s worship experience. With a passionate team of talented musicians and singers, the ministry strives to create an atmosphere that fosters spiritual growth and connection with God through music.

Each week, the music ministry diligently prepares a diverse repertoire of hymns, contemporary worship songs, and gospel classics, carefully chosen to complement the sermon’s theme and engage the hearts of the worshippers. Their dedication and commitment extend beyond just performing during services; they also hold regular rehearsals and workshops to improve their musical skills and strengthen their bond as a team.

The music ministry serves as a unifying force, bridging generations and cultures as the congregation joins together in harmonious praise and worship, uplifting spirits and inspiring a deeper sense of faith and community.

Music Ministry Options

Here are a few of the ways our music ministry serves our congregation.

Handbell Choir

Handbell Choir

The handbell choir brings another dimension to familiar hymns and songs of praise. The diverse ages come together to practice and fellowship but always to bring Glory to God through music. Christmas music is especially beautiful performed with bells.

Captured Light

Captured Light

Captured Light is a drama group whose members express their worship through song and movement. Captured Light conveys what often gets lost in words, which is feeling and gratitude. This team consists of all ages and is always looking for more to join in their ministry.

Wellness & Recreation

Trinity Patty, Personal Fitness Professional, Certified & Insured

While our spiritual wellness is top priority, God also wants us to honor Him by taking care of our physical body. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, His very home. 1 Tim 4:8 tells us Godliness is best, but physical training is good. It will help us better fulfill God’s purpose in our lives. Even the Proverbs 31 woman dresses herself with strength and has strong arms! God provides our ultimate strength, health, and healing. Knowing this, we can use our restorative yoga/Pilates class to reflect, speak to God, and simply breathe while we rest in Him.

It is also a much-needed time of fellowship and laughter with other believers. Come join us on Mondays at 7pm. These classes are open to men and women and all levels of ability are welcome!

Adult Ministries

Ladies looking for adult connection have a choice of participating with the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU), or the Women on Missions (WOM) group. The WMU has a morning meeting for devotions and perform work supporting the Southern Baptist Mission Board and community missions.

The WOM is an evening group, offering devotions, self-discovery in Christ, local ministries, and retreats.

Men who are looking for connection are encouraged to meet with the Hedge Keepers. The Hedge Keepers have a short devotion/lesson and discuss way to serve the church and community members by supplying various needs.
